Biography:

Hi. I am Andrea. I’m a Trauma Therapist. I will be working with you to create your Trauma Map. Your Trauma Map includes your trauma reminders, responses and beliefs. We will follow and gently deconstruct well-worn cognitive and somatic pathways that resulted from the effects of abuse, trauma(s) and masking. In our work together we will do gentle guided trauma re-processing, which may resolve unmet or interrupted developmental needs, and work on releasing the effects of Complex Developmental Trauma, Chronic PTSD and masking. We will track the unfolding field of trauma recovery and Neurodiversity research and apply new studies to your trauma work..

Let’s build your Trauma Map and create the journey you want to have. We’ll navigate that path together. We may use humor, serious research, expressive arts, bilateral stimulation, EMDR/EMD Reprocessing Therapy, Somatic interventions, Awareness of burnout patterns and creative rejuvenation, to understand what happened and how it affected you, so you can feel freer and make more intentional decisions..

I am also a grandTherapist and Supervisor, which means that I specialize in therapy for therapists and practitioners in related fields.
Therapy with me is an interactive process of shared ideas.

In the first sessions together, we will get to know one another. I’ll be learning about what brings you to therapy, what your experiences have been, how you think and feel about those experiences and how you prefer to learn and experience your world. You will be learning about how I am in the room, the kind of information I bring, how I interact with you and how I welcome you into your therapy space. There may be some new information I can share about how trauma interacts with your nervous system, and you may teach me what you’ve learned about trauma recovery and masking, in your worldview, and lived experience.
