Brainspotting Intensives
At times, once a week therapy is not enough to start the journey to healing. Our clinicians can offer longer, and more frequent sessions of EMDR or Brainspotting to reduce client sensitivities to past experiences and specific events. EMDR intensives work best for traumatic experiences that have a “time and place” and are less effective for processing long term exposure to trauma.
Brainspotting is a treatment technique that facilitates the reprocessing of traumatic experiences through fixed eye positions that stimulate neural pathways in the midbrain. Research shows BSP as an effective treatment method for post traumatic stress, phobias, panic attacks, anxiety disorders, stress, sexual and physical abuse, disturbing memories, complicated grief, addictions, etc. It is a powerful and flexible intervention that creates lasting change and improves daily functioning in both the mind and body.
Kate is a trained BSP practitioner and graduates in May 22’ with a clinical MSW from UNE. Kate sits for her clinical licensure this July and has been a full time member of the Partnership for Trauma Recovery since 2021.
