ACCESIBILITY INFO

We are located on the second floor of 491 US Route One. You may access our offices via two sets of stairs on the South side of our building and there is also a short ramp to the second floor on the North side of our building. Ample parking is located on whichever side of the building that fits your accessibility needs. Once inside, you will wait in our waiting room and your provider will come out to greet you. We have one public bathroom available for our clients.

INSURANCE

We participate as in network providers with the following plans:

  • Anthem/BCBS

  • Optum (United & Harvard Pilgrim)

  • Aetna

  • Maine Community Health Options

  • Medicare (please note: there is a long wait for Medicare due to the limits on who Medicare clients can see for providers.)

  • Cigna

  • Martin’s Point

For other insurance plans, we are out of network providers and provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company.

Please call your insurance provider before your first session to verify your coverage, including any deductibles or copays you are responsible for.

PAYMENT PROCEDURES & POLICIES

Against the current trend of therapists moving to cash-pay only, PTR strongly believes in accepting all of the major insurance carriers as a way of expanding access to quality mental health treatment. If you are using an out of network plan, you will be responsible for payment in full and will be provided a superbill to submit to your insurance company.

Clients are expected to complete their insurance portal forms correctly and promptly before their initial appointment to ensure our ability to verify benefits prior to the first appointment.

Partnership for Trauma Recovery requires a valid credit card to be kept on file for the duration of services. Client will be charged weekly (typically Friday) for the expected copay/deductible amount.

If a client’s benefits come back and the amount owed is greater than what was charged, the client will be responsible for immediately covering the balance. This will be done automatically with the weekly charges unless the client contacts the practice requesting an alternate payment.

If a client provides insurance information that is not accurate (policy has expired, is not valid, etc), the client will be responsible for the full cost of the services provided in the time that was not covered by insurance.
